CDL releases 2013 sustainability report

Property developer City Developments Limited (CDL) has published its sixth sustainability report titled ‘Changing the Landscape’, which highlights updates to corporate governance and policies relating to Anti-Corruption, Fraud and Competition.

The report also details CDL’s achievements such as being the top ranked company in Asia(excluding Japan) and Singapore in the list of Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, as well as efforts to reduce carbon intensity emissions by 11 percent from baseline year 2007 and a list of its developments that have been conferred with the Building and Construction Authority Green Mark GoldPlus and Platinum.

Kwek Leng Joo, Managing Director at CDL, noted: “We aspire to be a responsible global corporate citizen. We believe that sustainability is integral to business excellence and challenge ourselves to conduct best practices and conserve resources, for future generations to meet their needs.”

The report has achieved Level A+ by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) using the G3.1 guidelines as well as the Construction and Real Estate Sector Supplement (CRESS). It is released in conjunction with the developer’s 50th anniversary.
