Singapore buyers say bonjour to France

French developer Pierre & Vacances declared itself happy with the response to its French property exhibition which took place in Singapore last weekend.

In what was the first French property exhibition to exhibit in Singapore for more than two years, buyers and investors signed deals for the company’s Villages Nature eco-tourism development located 10 minutes from Disneyland Paris in Northern France.

Jean-Dominque Hilderbrand, International Sales Director, told PropertyGuru: “We were pretty busy. Most of the people we saw already have connections to Europe, and that’s the same as we saw in Hong Kong.”

Hildrebrand added that he’d seen cash buyers, with two purchases coming from Indonesian nationals residing in Singapore.

Florence Ang of Singapore real estate agency Premiere Realty says: “About half of those who attended our information sessions asked about financing. They were attracted by the opportunity to own freehold property within Disneyland Paris, and we expect to close additional sales in the upcoming weeks.”

Pierre & Vacances intends to exhibit in Singapore again towards the end of the year.
