Sunway named Malaysia's best developer

The recent inaugural South East Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) honoured the best developers, developments and designs in Malaysia’s property sector, according to media reports.

Sunway Integrated Properties was among the biggest winners and was named Best Developer.

The head of the judging panel, David Aboud, who is the Director of Investments and Asset Management at Asian Real Estate Asian Real Estate Guidance Investments said the group fought off stiff competition to secure this coveted title and it has “consistently delivered high quality real estate developments and they can stand proud, not just in Malaysia but regionally as a quality real estate player.”

Sunway Integrated Properties’ subsidiaries Sunway Bintang and Sunway Melawati won two awards for Best Housing Developments in North Malaysia and Central Malaysia, respectively, for their Sunway Wellesly (Phase II) and Sunway Montanta developments.

Another a triple winner, Tropicana Corporation was named Best CSR Developer for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the Best Commercial Architectural Design for the Tropicana Avenue project, (developed by its Tropicana Golf and Country Resort subsidiary), and Best Housing Landscape Architectural Design for its Tropicana Heights project by Tropicana Kajang.

A total of 19 awards were given out and winners in the developer, development and design categories will go on to compete at the South East Asia Property Awards 2014 which will be held in Singapore in October.
