Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in non-mature estates currently range from around $110,000 to $386,000.
In a written answer to a query in Parliament yesterday, the Ministry of National Development (MND) revealed the average selling prices of BTO flats offered recently in the non-mature estates are $110,000 for a two-room flat, $187,000 for a three-room flat, $295,000 for a four-room flat and $386,000 for a five-room flat.
The median prices are at similar levels.
This year, there was only one BTO project in a mature estate so far. The prices of the three-room and four-room BTO flats offered in Toa Payoh were around $321,000 and $470,000 respectively.
“The prices of BTO flats in mature estates are higher, given their locational advantages and wider range of facilities,” Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan wrote.
Toa Payoh Apex (pictured), a BTO project bounded by Lorong 6 Toa Payoh and Toa Payoh East, was launched in July 2014, according to HDB. Designed with several eco-friendly features, the development includes 557 units housed in four 36-storey residential blocks. It is estimated to be completed in Q4 2018.
Mr Khaw added for BTO projects completed in 2013, the average waiting time is about three years. This includes from the process of booking the flat to key collection.
The HDB website lists four upcoming sales launches in September 2014, in Bukit Batok, Hougang, Kallang/Whampoa and Jurong West.
