The Real Centre Network (RCN) is encouraging older property agents to apply for the newly introduced SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy by the Workforce Development Agency (WDA), which started on 1 October.

Announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam during the Singapore Budget 2015, it means Singaporeans aged 40 and above can enjoy enhanced subsidies of up to 90 percent of course fees for WDA-supported certifiable courses.

In light of the changes, RCN is calling all real estate agencies to consider supporting eligible agents to attend a WSQ Customer Service for Real Estate Salesperson (CSR) course.

Full course fees for the CSR course are $629.16, inclusive of seven percent GST. Agencies can choose to sponsor the balance course fees of $99.96 after 90 percent funding.

The three day course provides agents with the opportunity to learn new techniques, such as how to respond professionally under challenging circumstances during customer interactions.

Under WDA’s Workforce Training Support (WTS) scheme, there are additional subsidies that agents below 40 years can apply for.

Upcoming CSR courses will take place on 28 to 30 October, and 25 to 27 November 2015.

RCN is an approved course provider appointed by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA), which is responsible for regulating Singapore’s real estate industry.
