URA photo competition

As part of the SG50 celebrations, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is inviting Singaporeans to submit their best shots of buildings and spaces that have helped shape Singapore, such as housing blocks, parks or skyscrapers.

“Some places just say “Singapore”: the coffee shop that hosts uncles enjoying their morning kopi, the neighbourhood library where students hang out and (sometimes) study, the office tower with suited workers rushing in and out,” said URA in a statement.

Members of the public can take part in either the Open Category or Instagram Category of the “50 years: buildings and spaces that shape SG” photo competition.

For the Instagram Category, participants must set their Instagram profiles to public and all entries must be hashtagged #shapingSG.

The closing date for entries is 3 July 2015 and prizes worth $10,980 in total are up for grabs. To take part, go to: ura.sg/photocomp.
