Dakota
Amazing place. Sunrise and sunset views by the river are sensational. Units are one of the biggest in SG, Very well thought amenities, the place feels like a hotel -

Great location, peaceful neighbourhood
When I tell the taxi drivers where I stay, it is common for them to say what a great location it is. It is city fringe and centrally-located, accessible by bus and MRT (100m walk to the MRT station), I saved a lot on taxi fares due to shorter distances. Cross the road to the famous hawker centre where one can access to all the famous local and western food. There is a wet market and a 24-hr NTUC FairPrice, small but it serves its purpose well. Dakota Residences is a beautiful condo with well-maintained landscape and common facilities, unlike some nearby condos which we've viewed. We love our friendly neighbours, a good mix of local and expat population. Its an ideal place for people looking for outdoor facilities as its near to parks, MBS, Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Sports Hub, as well as families with young children. As for the plane noise that some reviewers mentioned, besides the rehearsal during the 2 months of the National Day Parade period (which is during the day and we are out to work anyway), we do not hear any noise at all. Maybe that has long been fixed after some neighbours complained to the MOE on the noise level. Will recommend to anyone planning to buy for own stay or rent, if price is within your budget since it is city fringe and will definitely be higher than those in the outskirts. -

Enjoying my stay!
Love its location - proximity to the city and the famous food centre. The management is also helpful whenever i have any questions on the use of facilities and stuff. As for noise created by the planes, it doesn't bother me since they can be heard only on weekday certain hours (when I work) and not on weekends. -

Love it !
I worked at home and my hubby worked in CBD. Great public transports for him to go to work through Nicole highway. Fast and straight forward. We love the landscape of the condo plus all the outdoor sports that we love to do. Great lab pool, Kallang tennis court 10 min away. Marina Bay Golf course 10 min away. Quiet and peaceful most time. Yes, it's a flight path but it doesn't really bother me. After all, we are living in the city. Occasional noise is considered a luxury. We happen to move in when all the constructions of next condo had finished. So we are loving it. -

Noises from the Sky
I own a unit at Dakota Residences but sold it off late last year with a nice profit. The profit is not the reason I get out of this supposedly nice condo. It is the noises from our fighter jets and transport planes. It can be unbearable at times - especially in the day. My unit was facing the Spa Sanctuary, which I thought was nice and quite. I was wrong. During weekends and holiday seasons, invited guests and their kids screams at the top of their voices. During the night when you think you have peace, wrong again. Tenants and guests uses the Spa at mid-night, disturbing the night peace. Low level units got noise from pools, clubhouse and Spa. High level units got noises from the Sky. If you like noise, I recommend this condo which plus point is its location. -

very noisy
The fighter jet planes fly over the condo every day. The flight path has always been the same which is flying over block 38. The noise level is unbearable. There's also a loud construction noisy from the condo next to Dakota. -

great place
We have lived here for almost 2 years now overlooking the landed houses / greenery. Cool and breezy unit. A good mix between expats and locals, close to public transport and (pre) schools. A fairprice and great hawker food around the corner, with katong road/east coast park/stadium a short mrt/bike ride away for more dinner choices and supermarkets. The previous commenter must have lived in a very different block, as other than birds and playing kids we only have the occassional plane flying over that's noisy but not unbearable. Overall recommended. -

This is an easy place to live if you don't mind construction noise, plane noise, school kid noise, truck noise to building site next to condo and being surrounded by HDB'S. Whilst it's an attractive condo for facilities and interior of units (interiors look expensive fixtures and fittings mask poor quality materials, window fittings need repair already although under warranty. It feels very local no quality coffee or bread shop near by. The near by fairprice doesn't stock things like cheese or quality meat, pretty basic. The hawkers centre is great if you like local saturated fatty food with tons of MSG. The ups are if you can afford a 4 bedder these are the quieter units with little or no beating afternoon sunlight and have the best outlook over the canal and cityscape. The mix is local and expatriate, executive and family. The club room is booked practically every weekend with locals who like to entertain traditionally with their food caterers lined up outside. So don't live to close to that end of the condo by larger pool. The biggest upside is the MRT on the door step. -
