My 2cents
We have 2 units here since launch, it was bought at $2.5m-$2.6M, it is currently priced at $3.1-$3.3m. Over last 8-9 years, there is consistent rental between $9-$11k. (Current offer $9k) There are always expats ready to move in, that makes property attractive. Unfortunately, there are disgruntled existing tenants could not find available units to stay, making a fuss in this review, complain about Dog Poo? (Is kind of cute), I don’t stay outside along the pavement all the time if I’m staying in this 4 storeys comfortable house. (Note: my tenants from Holland, England, Germany never complain about this). -

Honest Review
So I review this place back in 2019 and I complain about bad maintainence and dog fouling in the estate ground. We were suppose to move out in 2020 but stranded here now for a while longer. So yes management has change and are gradually making some update like the gym equipments and umbrella at the pool. Car park and outdoor facades still needs maintenance as showing age and wear & tear. Honestly speaking, dog issue is getting worse (many bought dogs recently) and many complains from neighbour & management office send out reminder. I exit my unit in the basement and drive out so less issues with dog dropping so I recommend that. This place is super convenient and pleasant otherwise. I saw people mention 10K actually actual rental is around 7-8.5K pcm. Can walk to Raffles Primary -

Honestly, past 3 years have been a comfortable living, got to know many friends with same interest. Thanks Laura for requesting to share my view on this property, to justify for the actual rating. Good location, great pools, good gym equipment, great neighbor. It is quiet ambiance mostly. -

Sweet Neighborhood
Great place to stay, with 2 young daughters spending most of their evening time running around the estate. The visitor parking lots are limited to 5, there was once we do not have enough lots for our visitors, ended up parked their cars about 5-10mins walk in Watten. -

Cluster House in the City
Prior moving here in 2013, we were looking for cluster housing, and I was lucky to find Hillcrest, it is one of the valuable asset with rental at $10-12k (back then), and monthly installment of $7-8k, is pure value for money asset. The place has enough pool for everybody which is great, thought the jacuzzi pool can be bigger, will be fantastic. Saw a few posts regarding dog poo, it is a very common within Watten, Bukit Timah estates. To be fair, in general, the owners need to train the helpers to do the job, it is not just hillcrest villa issues. It is a common issue with landed housing estates. Lately, the propety is in hot demand with 0 units for rental. Receive letters and calls almost daily by agents to rent out our unit. We hope the people looking for one, all the best -

Great location but unhygienic environment
Pros: great location for schools, shops/restaurants and public transport. Units are nice & spacious and the estate is generally pleasant Cons: Despite installing CCTV there is an ongoing issue with irresponsible dog owners allowing their pets to defecate along the common walkways. If you are ok with stepping over numerous piles of poo every day when taking your kids to school or the pool then it wouldn’t be a problem. Personally, I find it unhygienic especially as there are lots of small children who like to play outside and could easily get sick from this. The management have sent out notices but recently the issue has worsened. Something to consider if you are planning to move here. Units were badly constructed - lots of residents get leaks -

Current Resident (not agent/owners view)
Pros: great location with easy access to schools, restaurants and public transport. The units are bright and spacious and there are lots of families. Cons: CCTV has been installed but not effective in identifying irresponsible dog owners who allow their dogs to defecate around the estate. If you are ok with walking past several piles of poop everyday whilst taking your kids out to the pool/school etc then it’s fine. If you have a dog then there is a park right next to the estate so not sure why people don’t go there instead Units are nice but badly constructed so most residents have issues with leaks The estate is showing lots of wear and tear (Low ratings for facilities because of the dog issue) -

Perfect home
A nice condo and landed feel with facility. We have been looking to rent one for few weeks now, all units seems to be snapped out quickly. Our budget of $10k-12, for family of 5. No preference on which row, but willing to pay more for row 3 or 7. (Nearer to pool) -

Good neighbourhood
It is one of the better neighbourhood in Singapore, and comfortable living. Surprised that there are 0 rental units available in 2021, was told by agent is very good demand, so no choice we are moving out after 6 years. There is a new Facility management this year, they did pretty good job, installing CCTV across the estate, also constantly seeing announcement that reminding dog owners to clean up after business. Personally I have encountered 3x (irresponsible dog owners) over 6yrs stay. Not an issue per se. As majority of kids are expats, they do run around barefoot, which I don’t see issues, my kids did that too. The gym equipment is all new since 2020, great choices of equipments there, Lap pool was renovated in 2018. Thanks, will miss this place -
