Been to the showflat. Outlook of the development certainly ups the ante for the surrounding mature developments. It is indeed pricier in that area after considering its brand new with a 200-300 psf gap.
Perhaps 1000-1100 psf will be the benchmark for new Hillview developments, a premium over the 900 - 1000 you might be seeing for an older unit.
As a home, looks attractive. Possible mall near the roundabout, school at Elizabeth Drive, railway land developments... with the exodus of the light industries, Hillview could gain significant prestige.
A dinner at Railway Mall gave me an interesting insight about Hillview area though... but you'll have to find that out yourself.

HillVista
At more than S$1000psf, to be a little more exact, it now cost slightly more than S$1100psf, I don't think is worth it. Is overpriced, and upside limited. I have been to the recent open house, liked the project and find the space layout decent and functional. Showflat is impressive, with sizeable cabinet. Squarish design and allow full use of space. Quiet and nice place for family. For those who don't drive, not so convenient. Though coming Hillview MRT is about 600m away, there is a steep slope (up and down) that one need to cross to reach the MRT, and imagine if your hands are full of shopping loads, quite an effort.

Hill Vista
I notice that Hill Vista is selling at more than $1,000 psf whereas the surrounding condos are asking for $700-800 psf. Do you think that Hill Vista is overpriced?
