  Clearly overpriced for lousy development

  NE has a good location, and that's the only thing good about it. The units are horribly laced with bay windows, balcony, planters. Cheapskate furnishings by a low class developer

  Good use of space

  The units in this development are well designed with squarish rooms and hall, which is making good use of space. Bay windows come with planters which if you can creatively make use of these, it would not be a great waste of space. Location is 5 mins walk to Newton Circus food centre.

  Be Real

  All investors that owned a unit here are seating on a time bomb. The price is way way too high and if you do not sell now, it will be gone. With the new rules, investor might have to rent it out and the rental market is getting weaker and weaker so my words to investors, BE REAL.

  Location Location Location

  Newton Edge has the most ideal location in my opinion; it is close enough to Newton MRT but far enough away from the noise. For drivers, Newton Edge provides a short-cut to Orchard via Istana, you just have to follow Makeway Ave to the end and you will exit out onto Bukit Timah Road (as compared with developements such as park infinia or miro on the other side which require one to drive a big round past Novena before doubling back to Scotts Road.) The price on offer is unbelievable, when park infinia, miro and other developments in D11 are asking >1900 psf. You can get one at Newton Edge for less than 1700 psf. This price gap is not going to last for long, once it TOP, the strong rental will push prices in line with other developments in the area. Freehold land is running out in D9,10,11. Makeway View which is just beside Newton Edge is one development that is going to get enbloc any moment now. This will prove to be another catalyst for price increase at Newton Edge. Downsides with this development are as follows: wasted space with planters and balcony, small developer, limited facilities. But take into consideration the plus points and price difference, Newton Edge is worth considering for any serious investors. It's rental potential is unlimited.

  Fantastic Apartment

  This apartment has an excellent location. It is so near the MRT and the Newton Food centre. The psf should reach $2000 psf easily. The facing and the sizes for the units are ideal for small families. They are also ideal for maintenance. I would love to buy a unit in this development.

  Newton Edge

  This sold-out development has a lot of plantars, bay windows and even a sunshine ledge in the balcony that are included in the GFA. Some of the bedrooms have balconies in additional to the one in the living room- this does not bode well with a already small gross floor area. The Type D, 700 sqft unit has only 1 bathroom in the entire unit. Guess what this bathroom is only in the masterbedroom.
