Went to view a unit with a friend early this month.
Small development. Quality is slight above average.
Huge Balcony (for those who dont need it will becomes waste space).
Limited condo facilities. No BBQ station.
Relatively quiet IF without the helicopter taking-off from base.
Nearby some eateries, but needs to walk out of road - lane to access transport and amenities.
At 900K its over-price considering its location and exclusive noise from the helicopter. Can be hard to resell in near future.

Northwood
Hi all,
i was there for viewing yesterday. Bocat review is correct, i did hear the helicopter noise. (The unit i saw was near the guard room).
As it is still new, the current enviroment is good.
While reviewing the facilities, saw 1 unit <think its 03-03> with a BIG god worship table out the large balconies and another <think its 04-03> with 2 BIG pineapple hanging at the edge of the balconies. Hehe.... its quite interesting. But a little too public living lifestyle.
As the asking prices are currently out of my reach so did not enquire further.

A little gem
We moved into Northwoods 2 weeks ago and we LOVE it! Its a brand new condo - low rise - only five levels - so no high rise towers blocking out the light.
We lived in a cluster house before and we can't believe how different life is in our new apartment. We haven't used the a/c at all yet - just constantly have the balcony doors open which let lots of fresh air in.
As its a new condo its relatively quiet at the moment as not many people have moved in but the units are filling up quite quickly. There is still a bit of building work noise as a lot of the owners are having their own works done but this shouldn't last too long.
One slight downside is the noise from the air base. Our unit backs onto Dieppe Barracks (which means we have a lovely view of lots of greenery from our back windows) - but the noise from the adjacent air base can be pretty loud at times (but only if they are on exercise - its not every day).
Transport links are good. There's a bus just along the road on Sembawang Road that goes directly to Orchard. It takes about 1 hour during peak times. We drove into the city the other day - along Sembawang Road, Upper Thomson, Lornie - left the house at 8.03am and got to Clemenceau Avenue at 8.31am. Pretty good considering all my friends think I live at the end of the earth!
Anyway, to sum up - Northwood is a quality development - lovely pool, beautiful gardens, very spacious and peaceful (when the helicopters aren't out in force!)
Almost forgot to mention - all the units have large balconies - and the 5th floor units have an upstairs bedroom and bathroom and a HUGE roof terrace which was a big plus point for us.
