A very quiet, windy place throughout the year - Walking distance to Tanamerah MRT (800m), bus stops, Bedok 85 Fengshan Market, convenience stores and shophouses - Within 2KM to many primary schools -

Splendid environment to live in with a BUT.
Just moved in a couple of months ago. And I can safely conclude; PROS: - very nice environment for a living. Peaceful and quiet, away from the noise, only 3 blocks of 14 floor buildings. Not too packed. - full of nearby amenities down the slope behind the back door exit of the condo, which ranges from wet market, kopitiam, Fengshan Hawker Centre, NTUC, OCBC bank, and HDB shops. - bus stop behind the building that goes to Bedok station. - fairly near to MRT, about 10-15 minutes walk. But not commendable. - feels like a resort. - the sub-cons (cleaning, security, general maintenance) hired to manage the facilities are friendly people. CONS: - swimming pool doesn't really allow you to swim laps. Many kids use it often in the afternoon and whole day on weekends, making it impossible for you to swim in peace. - basement carpark is plenty, but a little too dark at night. - rubbish chute system is not good and sealed tight. Gaps allow tiny cockroaches to freely enter. And you will find them aplenty sometimes. - management company is not doing a great job of maintaining some facilities. - Since we moved in, male steam room is spoilt and has not been fixed. I have no idea how long it has been like that. - Simple facilities like BBQ pits are also in a mediocre conditions. Charcoal trays are broken, and they have recently just started renovating 1 part. Which I have no idea why it takes them so long to fix such simple stuffs. Did ask the management office and they said no budget. So I guess I can forget about using the male steam room ever. - booking a BBQ pit requires $10 fee and a refundable deposit of $50. I have stayed in a few condos before, and unpleasantly surprised that an in-house facility requires additional fee. Not pleased that they choose to charge such minute things. - very rigid and rather inflexible management who requires deposits for almost anything that you need to do (very minor contractor job in your house, delivery of bulk furnitures). -

Good Location & Quiet
Tanamera Crest is located at a good location on East side of Singapore. It's very convenient because Tanah Merah MRT 10-15 minutes away by walking distance. MRT is nearby but not close so no train noise. Market & Food centre can be accessed through behind gate of the condo by 5-10 minutes walking. Few minutes drive to Changi Airport for those travel a lot for work like me will be a plus point. This place is very quiet neighborhood, surrounded by private landed properties. Primary and Secondary school are nearby too. The high floor unit is breezy and unblocked because the condo located a bit uphill compared to others. Parking lot is big enough for residents, don't need to worry about no parking when come home late after work. Negative point is a smaller pool, not a lap pool however, the pool is not busy most of the time. Personally, i am very happy renting and staying here. Recommended for expats and families who like quiet and relax after busy days. Last but not least, it is not far away from East Coast Park where is my favorite place on the weekends with my family and dog ^^ -

QUIET YET CONVENIENT
TanameraCrest is on high ground and facing landed properties. Breeze year round. It is away from the MRT track and yet easier enough to walk there. About 10 mins walk under trees lined path. Side doors open to bus-stop and wet market, food centre as well as supermarkets. -

A hidden Gem - Exclusive and peaceful
I've viewed a number of condos around the Tanah Merah MRT (The Tanamera, Casa Merah, Tanamera Crest, Palmwoods) and found that the Tanamera Crest is really a hidden gem. It's very peaceful and just a short 10 minutes walk away the MRT (8 minutes if you're a fast walker). It's surrounding is very peaceful (very minimal road noise, unlike The Tanamera which is so close to the MRT track & very noisy). I saw one high floor unit facing the landed properties; the view is fantastic & no afternoon sun, very breezy. Those units facing the landed properties are enjoying one of the best views in the area. The side gate behind (5-minute walk) leads to the famous food centre, wet market & various coffee shops, NTUC (24hr), 7-11 and many provision shops & clinics. Very convenient for housewives who do not drive. -

Not a well maintained property
The condo is poorly maintained. It is less than 7 years old but the whole area looks like more than 10 yrs. Some fixtures are damaged and no repair work is visible. The place is remote and walking from MRT up the slope is difficult for elderly. The good thing is the back door leads to the fengshan market place and near to some schools. It would be advisable to have a private car for compute. Not a good investment but decent enough for rental income. -

TWONG
Defiinitely a plus condo - quiet and serene surrounding throughout. No traffic or MRT noise yet nice 8-10 minuites walk only thru serene surrounding to Tanah Merah MRT Station, market and shops. Very residential surrounding - peaceful, breezy and tranquil. Good area for brisk walks, jog around the neighbourhood. Property is on elevated ground. -

Peaceful
Well, you can't have everything. This place is peacful but 0.8km to the MRT. It's a walk-able distance and lots of residents do walk to the train station. Facilities abound here, but the pool is tad small for the number of residents living here. Management is not great. Maintenance may be low but the place is not very well managed, making the condo look older than it is. Lots of repairs awaiting. -

Absolutely Great Place to Stay
Great place stay especially for family with children and Expats. Extremely close to primary and secondary schools. Within walking distance (less than 10 mins) to Tanamera MRT, wet market (Fengsan) and great foods. Fabulous!! -

Tanamera Crest
This place is 10 mins walk from Tanah Merah MRT. Close proximity to good schools - St Anthony Convent (from side gate) and Anglican High School (from Main Gate). Market/amenities is just a 10 mins walk down hill. Located among landed houses providing privacy and tranquility. Changi Business Park, Changi Airport, East Coast Park are just a short drive away. -
