can a single purchase a resale jumbo HDB flat in open market

Hi
Singles are not eligible to purchase Jumbo flats. However there is no restrictions in purchasing other types of flat such as executive or maisonette. If you are a first timer, you are also eligible for grants (depending on your salary) so you may consider other types of flats too that may suit your liking in terms of size. As of prevailing regulations, Singles are eligible to purchase any type of resale flat. However for executive apartments, maisonette or jumbo, he or she can only take bank loan and will not be eligible for any housing grants. Hdb regulations may change anytime though.
