Morning Tay,
If you are SC couple or SC and PR couple, you are eligible to purchase the private property and yet keep the HDB unit. You are also eligible to rent out the HDB unit and stay in the private property which you have purchased. However, you are still required to fulfill the MOP requirements before purchase of private property.
