Hello, I am married PR want to buy landed property in East. I know listed price or asking price is always inflated. I wonder if listed price of example $1.4mil can possible bargain down to $1.1mil or less. Is possible? Thanks to answer my question.

Hi Abe San,

Before I going into your clarification, may I know whether you had the approval from the authorities to purchase a landed property ? As the Singapore's Law do not allow Foreigner to Purchase Landed Property (unless is approved by application) ?

Your Claifications,
- you may need to get an Agent to represent you (Buyer Interest), as the Agent representing you shall be able to show you the proof of the recent transaction in the area you are keen.
- with the transaction information, you can know whether the asking price is very much inflated.
- other method, you can get a Valuation from various Banks (your agent can help you on this matter).
Lastly, I cannot make the judgement for you on your question on the asking vs offer price as I do not have the Detail of the Property you are mentioning. You may want to post me the property detail at your conveniences.
