Hey i would like to buy an apartment somewhere around serangoon area, my question is:

Can i use credit card from Indonesia (master card) to pay the downpayment?

what are the terms & rates?

Hi,

Assuming you are considering to purchase as a foreigner, the downpayment will be 20% of purchase price, and 18% of purchase price for stamp duties, if you can get a 80% bank loan. To facilitate such a significant payment, I don't think it can be done via credit card only as usually the bank imposes certain credit limits on the card.

It would be best if you could work out a bank transfer and wire to a local account which you will be taking up a bank loan with for your residential purchase. Thanks and may I assist with your housing plans further?

Good evening buyer,

I will assume you are a foreigner. Do take note you will be subject to additional buyer's stamp duty of 15%.

If you are able to obtain a 80% loan, your initial outlay will be around 38% of the purchase price.

1) 20% cash downpayment
2) estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty
3) 15% additional buyer's stamp duty
4) $3k legal fee
5) $1k valuation fee
6) $500 stamp duty for mortgage.

If you want to pay 20% downpayment by credit card, the transaction might not go through.

Even if you want to book a new launch, normally you have to issue a cheque or cashier order to developer. Doubt developer will accept credit card.

I think you should use cheque rather than credit card.
