Hi, I am a 34 years old SG citizen. I am single and will want to buy a 5-rm resale HDB flat in 4 mths time when I am 35, so I am scouting around and trying to determine how much loan I can get. My montly income is $5000 x 12 currently and on a contract job. I am just being offered a perm job of $4500 x 12 + AWS + Variable bonuses and due to the new HDB loan ruling on 26-Aug-13, I am in a dilema if I want to take up this new perm job as I realise I will have less 100k to borrow for HDB Loan.
I am incline to take up the perm position, 4.5k. And I think I will need at least 350k loan if I were to buy a resale 5-rm HDB flat in Woodlands. I do not have any outstanding loan and is debt free. Base on HDB Loan calculator on HDB website, I can get 297k loan only. So my question is am I able to get bank loan of 350k?
