Hi, I am under 35 single male with foreign fiancee, and we are looking for a way to purchase resale flat without ROM early.
We have heard of a friend who has a friend in a similar circumstance that says they didn't need to register intent to buy because they took bank loan to purchase their resale hdb even though they are under 35 as well and not married. Is this possible?

Good morning,

you wont be able to purchase a resale HDB under single scheme cause you are below 35 years old.

Be it you take bank or HDB loan, you have to register intent to buy to buy a resale HDB. So if you wish to buy a resale HDB, you have to be married and buy under non citizen spouse scheme.

Hope my sharing helps in aiding in your enquiry. May I know how can I value add further in your property needs?

Best regards,

Hi,

1) I'm pretty sure this hearsay you heard of is incorrect.
2) You must solemnize before you are eligible to buy an HDB flat under the Non-Citizen Spouse Scheme.

3) You may try to do a registration of "Intent to buy" if you still have doubts about my reply.
https://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BB31AWDashboardWeb/BB31PLogin.jsp

4) This "Intent to buy" once registered is valid for 12 months. Thus you don't have to worry that you are being forced to rush into a purchase.
5) Unless you have a strong financial status for the purchase, I would suggest you apply for an HDB loan (HLE). Because you will only need to have a 10% (ash and/or CPF) down payment.
6) This loan is really very helpful for us to start our family where we need money in many ways.
7) It is also advisable for you to apply for an HLE before you dash out to view any units. This HLE can last you for 6 months. Please see instructions below:

Hi Sir,

You will have to register your Intent to Buy before being able to be granted an OTP, regardless of HDB loan or Bank loan.

If you're unsure of the HDB purchase procedure, I strongly advise you to engage a professional to assist you in your purchase, and not based on hearsay. Afterall, this is perhaps going to be the biggest purchase in your lifetime till date.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Hi
Unfortunately this is not possible as those under bank loan need to register intent to buy too. I am specialised in HDB transactions. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this.
