Hi, I have SC partner and myself is holding S pass for now. I am planning to apply PR this year but I wonder if we will be eligible for BTO once I get PR? Or do we need to wait for 3 years before we can apply?

As soon as you have your SPR, you should be eligible to apply for BTO with your SC partner given that this is a SC household, however, any policies may change down the road therefore do keep yourself updated as you move along.

Congratulations on planning to apply for PR! Regarding your eligibility for a BTO flat, here’s what you need to know:

1. **Eligibility as a PR**: Once you obtain PR status, you and your Singapore Citizen (SC) partner will form a **SC-PR household**, which makes you eligible to apply for a BTO flat under the **Public Scheme**. There is no waiting period for SC-PR households to apply for a BTO flat.

2. **Income Ceiling and Other Criteria**: Ensure you meet other HDB eligibility criteria, such as the **income ceiling** (currently $14,000 for families) and the **non-ownership of private property** within 30 months before applying.

3. **Additional Points for SC-PR Couples**: As a PR, your application will be considered under the **non-citizen spouse scheme**, which may have slightly lower priority compared to SC-SC couples. However, you are still eligible to apply immediately after obtaining PR status.

4. **Timing of PR Approval**: If you apply for a BTO flat before your PR is approved, your application may be affected. It’s advisable to wait until your PR status is confirmed before applying for a BTO flat.
