Hi,
I read on hdb website that I should do letter of intent to buy first and it will guide me to get HLE. But I didn't know the existence of intent to buy and already applied for HLE. I have not get my result for HLE from hdb yet. Did I screw up the process?

Why not engage an agent to run through the purchase in this case?

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 13 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. This has created an additional exposure when I manage my client's portfolios, on top of the conventional on and offline platforms, where other estate agents are relying on. This has allowed me to consistently convert leads into results.

With an evolving market, where change is the only constant, I have also been investing in upgrading of my knowledge and skills sets to improve myself and meet the demands of current and future market.

We are offering our clients a complimentary first consultation without obligations (Absolutely FREE!). Schedule for your FREE session today!

Hi,

1) This is just the beginning of worry.
2) I would recommend you engage an agent to release your tension.
3) An agent can guide you along the way, and provide financial calculations, essential things to look out for during your viewing. So that your attention won't be distracted.
4) An agent can provide a 3rd party view logically so that you could be more prudent in your final selection. And also to prevent any administrative mistakes.
5) As for your case, it is perfectly alright in these 2 sequences. Most people will apply for HLE first to ensure they have a sufficient budget before even starting their home search.

Please give me a thumbs-up if the answer provided is relevant to your main concern. Thanks!!!

Good day,

Normal process will require interested HDB buyers to submit HDB intent to buy before they are guided into HLE application, should they indicate that they are taking HDB loan.
With your application, you might have or will be receiving email from HDB soon.
It is very ok to DIY your purchase if you understand the process and requirement. Missing a step at this step can still be rectified but when it comes to physical buying of unit, after exercising an option, a mistake may cause the buyer a huge sum of money. Hence, I would advise that either you spend alot of time and effort to read up on the requirements or engage a qualified RES to enable you intention.

Do feel free to contact me should you require additional assistance.
