Hi,

After purchasing, if its sold within 3 years of holding period, seller stamp duties apply. After that no SSD. May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Under current ruling, you will only need to hold your property for 3 years before you can sell it without incurring any penalty.

For private residential properties, there is no restriction on your holding period. You can buy today and sell tomorrow.

However, take note that if you sell within a year of purchase, you will incur 12% Seller Stamp Duty (SSD) on the sale price. Should you sell within 2 years, SSD would be 8%, within 3 years 4%. You will not incur any SSD if you hold beyond 3 years of your purchase.

Good afternoon buyer,

seller's stamp duty will be payable within 3 years from exercise of option or sale and purchase agreement.

within 1 year - 12%
within 2 years - 8%
within 3 years - 4%
thereafter not payable.

Actually based on the low supply of units in years to come and with enbloc sales and land bids at record high this year, it will be advisably to keep it for at least 3 to 4 years.
