I bought a condo about 3 years back. And thinking of selling it now. What is the fee that i have to pay and any idea what is the % of each fee? Will CPF hold any % of the cash profit into the account? Thanks.

Afternoon Jim,

You will be required to pay the following, for selling your unit:
Bank's admin fee and Penalty Charges (Depending on what's stated in your LO, if applicable)
Legal fee of around $2500 and Salesperson's Commission (Depending on the agreed amount)
The amount of CPF you have used, including interest, will be returned to your CPF account. You will be able to collect the remaining proceed as your cash profit, depending on your current age and CPF minimum sum.

Dear Jim,

Following are the fee you need to incur upon selling your condo:

1. Bank penalty (1.5% of outstanding)
- might be less dependings on your bank loan package.

2. Agent comm. - 1% ~ 2% (flexible, to be discussed)

3. Valuation Fee - $500

4. Legal Fee - between $2K to $2.5K

5. Bank Charges

Upon completion of sale, the amount you have drawn from your CPF will be returned to your CPF account cum interest. The net profit will be to you via cashier order.
