Hi, if my tenancy period is 1 year with minimum 6 months stay and notice period of one month. Then I break the contract at 5th month due to some emergency issue. What will happen to me? Thanks in advance.

HI,

There is a diplomatic clause in your Tenancy Agreement describing how many months in advance is needed in order for you to "break" you lease. Having said that, your emergency issue, unless it involves you being sent overseas, may not sit well with the landlords as a legitimate reason. They may have a right to forfeit your security deposit, request for the rest of the months' rental up till 1 year.

You will really need to speak to the agent representing you during the time of TA signing, or the Landlord, if there isn't any agent.
