Hi, if you realise you join the wrong agency and manager, what should u do to correct it?

What is the best way to know if that manager is the right one?

Seems like many managers instead of taking time to guide their existing agents, just spend time keep recruiting only to play numbers game?

Dear realtor,

I had the same issue when I first joined this industry back in 2009, where I spent a year in one of the bigger agency where I only managed to close 1 HDB purchase at a fraction of the commission I rightfully deserve. I was lucky that the desire in me to excel in this business had not vanished, and that is when I made the decision to join the current group where I have enjoyed learning and growing with them.

In terms of agency size, we are definitely not as big as the few mega agencies in the market, however, by network wise, I believe we are the largest group of realtor internationally, with operations in more than 75 countries and territories, more than 7,000 offices and a sales force of more than 111,000 associates under this network.

Where many of the mega agencies are expanding overseas, we have already established our global footprint where a world of opportunities await.

Let's discuss more in details what you are considering and how you would like to grow in this business. More importantly, we can have a better understanding on whether is there any potential chemistry to work together.

Hi

There is no way to know immediately if the agency or manager is the right fit. It takes time see if it's a good match. Thus take your time & do not be in a hurry. Please do give yourself and the team a chance before you decide. I would suggest consider visiting a few agencies to understand more about the culture, working system and joining the right team with good support. Mentor is definitely important and our team do provide 1 to 1 mentorship with structured framework for multiple career paths. You will be able to learn about the secrets to Successful Project Sales and extensive sessions where Top Producers demonstrate their showflat impactful presentation and much more. There will be weekly & monthly training to make sure you are up to date. Joining Huttons is definitely the best way it kick start this awesome career with an abundance of projects in 2019 especially if you are new.

Please feel free to give me a call @92700370 to chat , no obligations :)

Cheers

Hi,

Sad to say in the industry, indeed there will be managers who recruits to play the numbers game, but there are also many managers out there who really has a passion to train and groom their guys. Indeed you will have to find the one. I totally feel you because when I started out in this industry, I ended up joining someone who was only good in talking but I received little to none, in terms of training and mentorship. I nearly left the company because of him.

There are really no SOP guide to choosing the right manager for yourself. You really have to join the person in order to know. Sometimes the manager is good, but maybe the manager's style is not right for you. One way is really to have a heart to heart talk with your manager to see what is the missing link and chemistry and see if there is anyway to improve the situation.

If you really realised that you have joined someone who is purely recruiting for the numbers, then I would encourage to start searching for the right mentor for yourself. Ultimately this is our career and our rice bowl. If we do not fight for ourselves, no one else will. And the right mentor will really shorten your learning curve and points you in the direction where you do not need to keep bumping your head in order to learn.

If you haven't had a talk with your manager, then I will encourage you to do so. If you have already made up your mind to search for a new mentor, maybe we can meet up for a coffee and we can see if we can work anything out. Meanwhile if you have any question pertaining to your business in real estate, you can just give me a call. No worries no obligations at all. I will share with you whatever I can.

Looking forward to hear from you soon! Cheers!

Exactly buddy! Since you'd mentioned the key word "numbers game"..

You also need to play that game! Why I say so?

So that you can meet as many leaders/ managers in order to find out which is the most suitable for you!

Enjoy buddy!

Sincerely,
Edvan
