Hi, yes the landlord agent will be doing an handover inspection with you and have the document signed (if any). Do ensure that the unit is in the same condition as when you rented it so that the handover is smooth.

If you are currently or planning to find a property agent, I can assist.

Go through the inventory, check through serviceability of all items and make good on these items if they are faulty. Clean the apartment professionally as well as the curtains. These are some of the common things that are required before handover. There is no standard document, but landlord may have some documents they come up with so you can check with them. Read More

**Returning Your Rented Property in Singapore: A Smooth Handover**

The handover process when your lease ends involves returning the property to your landlord in good condition. Here's a breakdown of what to expect:

**Key Steps:**

* **Schedule a Joint Inspection:** Coordinate with your landlord to schedule a joint inspection of the property before your lease officially ends. This allows both parties to document the condition of the unit.
* **Cleaning and Repairs:** Ensure the property is clean and free of any damage beyond normal wear and tear. Address any minor repairs you might be responsible for as per the tenancy agreement.
* **Handover Documents:** During the inspection, there might be documents to sign, depending on your tenancy agreement and landlord's practices. Here are some common possibilities:
* **Inspection Report:** This document might be signed by both parties to acknowledge the condition of the property at handover.
* **Notice of Termination (Optional):** If you haven't already provided written notice to terminate the tenancy, you might need to sign one during handover.
* **Returning Keys:** Return all sets of keys for the property to the landlord upon handover.

**Additional Tips:**

* **Refer to Tenancy Agreement:** Review your tenancy agreement to see if there are any specific handover procedures or documents mentioned.
* **Take Photos/Videos:** Consider taking photos or videos of the property's condition before you move out, especially if there's any existing damage, to avoid potential disputes during handover.
* **Security Deposit:** The handover process is often when you receive your security deposit refund, minus any deductions for repairs or unfulfilled cleaning obligations mentioned in the tenancy agreement.

**By following these steps and communicating clearly with your landlord, you can ensure a smooth handover process for your rented property in Singapore.**
