Hi, My wife SPR, I'm a foreigner, both working in Singapore. Can my wife buy resale condo only under her name and only ABSD for SPR applied?
Will bank consider the home loan affordability based on her income and my income also?

Good afternoon Edwin,

Your wife can purchase the resale condo solely under her name which the ABSD rate of 5% will be applicable to her SPR status. As for the bank loan, it can only be taken up by the property purchaser/ owner. Why not let my banker advise you on the in principle approval based on her income?

Your wife can purchase the private property solely under her name and paying only 5% ABSD, being her first residential property in holding. However, she can only obtain mortgage loan based solely on her income.
