Hi there,

If an engaged couple has exercised the option to purchase a resale HDB but then ends the engagement, can one of them buy over the resale HDB under the single scheme? The guy is above 35 years old.

What would the financial losses be like, if any?

Hi, in this case it would be better to abort the whole transaction and to redo a new contract base on a single buyer. But will need the agreement consent of the seller of course.

If the OTP is under both names, it will have to be voided. You can discuss with the Seller to reissue another OTP under Single name.
