Hi there,

Is there anyone able to give advise? I am currently having 3-room flat at Telok Blangah. Which is more beneficial for me (I am 47 yo, married with 1 child), in terms of investment, staying in my current house, or moving to a condo that is located in West area (not further from Jurong area).

If you can retain your HDB and buy a condo and rent out your current HDB and stay in the condo, it's the best case scenario. Dear Eric,

The information provided is not sufficient for us to provide our opinion. Assuming that you will be required to sell your existing property in order to move into a private property in the west, I believe the age of your existing unit is an important factor to consider. If the age of your current place is getting on in years, I would recommend you to sell and move to a newer unit as a better investment option although you are purchasing for your own stay. A fresh lease property is a better asset to hold on to.
