Hi, we are just coming to the end of a 2+1 year rental contract on a private apartment. There is no damage to the property other than fair wear and tear (in our opinion at least!). However, I'm nevous that, the landord's managing agent will try to screw us on the deposit. What course of action can we take if this turns out to be the case and we don't get the full refund that we believe is due to us?

Agents are not crooks.

We do not benefit if we make things difficult for tenants. It will be a waste of our time negotiating over the return of the deposit. If its normal wear and use, then no need to worry!! Read More
