We have renewed another year of tenancy in January 2014 and have paid our agent her commission. However, on May 2014 (4 months after signing the contract), the agent informed us that the owner wanted us to vacate the unit as owner wants to move in to the said unit. My concern is, since it was the owner who terminated the lease, are they required to pay penalty ? How about our agent fee (Propnex agent)? Can we get back the pro-rated agent fee that we have paid for? We have been trying to reach to the agent but no reply from her. Thank you.
