Good morning Sir/Mdm,

The recent cooling measures are leaned towards private downgraders.

For condo buyers like you, your loan amount will be affected.

The benchmark interest rate bank use for loan assessment increased to 4% from 3.5%.

For instance, if a buyer who is below 35 years old and earns a gross income of $10k.

He used to be eligible for $1,224,822.42 loan amount (affordability $1.633m purchase price) but now, the loan amount will be reduced to $1,152,036 (affordability $1.536m purchase price). Close to $100k reduction in purchase price.
