I am a buyer and spent several days and hours viewing houses with a agent. But one day, I chanced upon a unit which I was interested in and viewed without my agent. Seller’s agent does not want to co-broke. Is this just tough luck for my agent or how do I compensate my agent who spent days and hours previously?

Hi, the seller agent does not have the right to tell you that he does not want to cobroke and he is not suppose to collect any commission from you too. And so, you could still insist on having your own agent to assist.

Hi,

An agent who doesn't cobroke is not doing justice for the party he is working for. His duty is to act in the best interests for his seller, and by not opening to cobroke, he is limiting the potential for his client.

There are ways where you can overcome this, do get in touch with me for further discussion.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans.
