Hi Sean, both of you has to be a PR of at least 3 years then you be eligible to purchase a HDB. So in your situation, the best is to obtained PR status first follow by purchase of a condo. And then in 3 years time, when both of you will be eligible to purchase a HDB, you could then buy one unit and sell away the condo within 6 months.
