Your question regarding market condition - property transactions activities or volume are low , prices are dropping , govt has clearly indicated prices has gone up too much and there is room for a small correction . However it is not a bad situation for a seller considering prices are at approx 5% short of ALL TIME HISTORIC HIGH, year 2013 was the peak .

    I have had that property at Oei Tiong Ham Park since my uncle built Oei Tiong Ham Park in 1958. We got it at a family price of $42K. So, cycles may come and go and we have seen the price increase to what it is today. If history is anything to go by I cannot imagine it going down but, eventually increase in price. Do you realise that all the landed property in Singapore accounts for only 5%. And out of that 5%, only 5% is freehold.

    I would be grateful though if you keep me informed of any movements and when the time comes to sell it I will get back in touch with you. I am in no rush so, I do not intend to sell it until I get my price.

Hi Dr Lim,

May I ask what is the price you are expecting in relation to the parameters of this premium property you have the intentions to let go? I believe that your property is in a class where it is not easily affected by the market movements due to imposed reuglations by the government since buyers looking for properties in this class are likely able to afford the purchase without being affected by the loan restrictions, therefore I think it is a more of a matter to match with the right buyers.
