Hi, If I intend to upgrade to a condo after my HDB 5Y MOP (sell HDB), will I be incurr 7% extra stamp duty (HDB loan all cleared)? What is the timeline to sell HDB, upon nearer to condo TOP? Any advise. thanks

Good evening, it seems like you only intend to sell off your hdb closer to or upon condo TOP. Thus you will still incur additional buyers stamp duty of 7% (it will based on the number of residential property you own, not on fully paid loan). But this amount will be refunded back to you if you manage to sell off your hdb within 6 months from condo TOP/ keys collection date. You will have to sell off your hdb before purchasing condo in order not to incur the ABSD but you will have to find a temporary accommodation before completion of condo. Hope my explanation helps.
