If I intend to purchase my 3rd HDB in the resale market do I need to dispose off my current flat? I have met the minimum occupancy period and my existing flat is full paid up.

I will not be taking any hdb loan for the new resale flat and is looking to rent it out

Good afternoon buyer,

yes you have to dispose off your current HDB within 6 months from purchase completion.

Do take note that one can only own one HDB at any point of time.

Btw care to share with me why do you intend to sell off current and purchase another since you can rent out your whole unit since it had fulfilled MOP.

For purchase of HDB, owners have to fulfill MOP before can rent out whole unit if not, owner has to be physically staying in the unit if he/ she wants to sublet her rooms out.

Afternoon,

Every SC and/SPR family can only own one HDB unit at any one time. Hence if you are looking at buying another HDB unit, you will be required to sell away your current one.

Hi,

Yes each household can only hold onto 1 hdb at any one time. Thus, you have to sell away your hdb if you purchase another resale hdb. Thanks and may I understand your plans further so to make better recommendations? Hope to discuss further.

Btw I got your intention. Probably let me draft out a financial plan for you to see whether is it feasible to move back where you guys used to stay.

The information that I will need:
1) current address and unit type (so I can estimate the sales price)
2) CPF OA funds utilised with accrued interest in current HDB
3) area that you want to move to and unit type (so I can estimated purchase price)
4) finances on hand (balance CPF OA funds and cash)

With all these information, I will be able to advise you further with a financial plan.
