I am deciding wether to buy a condo or resale hdb. I want to understand the cash above valuation which is asked by the seller. Isn't it that the home renovation and upgrades are already included in the valuation price? Because of the high CAV which cant be loaned to banks, buying a condo is sometimes more reasonably priced. Please enlighten me.

Hi Enz, you may say that buying Condo may involve smaller cash outlay than resale HDB but you'll most likely end up with a bigger financial loan with Condo, paying higher interest amount as the loan tenure will have to be stretched longer.
