Hi,
1) It is clear under HDB rules and regulations that no one is supposed to own any residential property local and overseas to buy HDB flats.
2) However, HDB also provides a leeway that you may sell your overseas property within 6 months upon key collection.
3) You will be given an undertaking letter on completion date to promise to sell it off within 6 months upon key collection.
4) You have to provide proof of property sold within 6 months to HDB once the overseas property is sold. Otherwise, HDB has the right to take back your HDB.
