I and my wife been looking for resale hdb recently. We both are PR and saw some nice flat ranging $350-400k. My question is for a flat cost $400k. How much we need to prepare in cash? What I know is 5% cash + 15% cpf.

Hi,

Have both of you be PR for 3 years and more? If so, then you are eligible to apply for HDB. Breakdown as follows:

Cash 5%
CPF 15%
Bank loan 80%
Stamp duties n legal fees 8%
Agency fees 1%+7% GST
Misc. HDB fees around 1k

Afternoon,

Only SPR couples of more than 3 years are eligible to buy resale HDB unit. Cash component required will be dependent on the valuation report of the unit, how much CPF you have in hand and how much loan both of you can get.
