My question is. How to own one with this amount of $.

Hi Philip, your question is how do you own a landed property with $700K cash.

For the moment you can't get a freehold unit for that. The prices are above that right now.

2 options, get financing, and find how much you are eligible to borrow, or wait and pray the prices come down (but they may do the reverse too).

So we have to objectively assess our goals.
1. buy for own stay or
2. buy for investment (rental & capital gain)

What can you afford, and then assess that should you still insist on landed property, but forgo the "freehold" status or forgo the "landed" but go for freehold.

Without further information from you, it will be difficult to advise you further.

Dear Philip,

If your objective is to utilise this $700k without additional loan to secure a freehold landed, I am sure you have no option at all with the current market. I am not sure what is the financial status you are in but perhaps like what Yian Tay has mentioned, check with a banker what is a comfortable amount of loan you can be eligible to and work from there.

$700k will only be likely sufficient for a small freehold apartment that is still under construction or at launch, which means you are unlikely to see immediate rental returns if investment is an objective.

Need further assistance? Do not hesitate to contact me further.
