Hi,

For typical resale HDB process, buyer agent will collect commission from the buyers, and seller agents will collect from sellers. Typically on the buyer side, it is 1% of price + GST. Your savings from final price will definitely offset the fees involved. Direct buyers tend to overpay, especially when you found an ideal unit and emotions might cloud your better judgment. For purchase of resale HDB unit, the buyer will have to pay commission to their servicing agent. The seller will pay to their respective agent.
