Morning,

Are you depending on the sales of your HDB to finance your EC? What kind of holding power do you have?
As per previous historical records, during every crash, be it the 97, 03 and 08, our property prices rebounce in less than 2 years. Even if it does crush, which nobody can give you a definite answer, you can choose to rent out your HDB unit and stay in the condo or vice versa.

Hi abc,

Did you purchase a brand new EC or resale EC?

HDB market has the best cushion against any market downturn and there is always a pool of buyers out there needing a roof over their head even when there is downturn. An important aspect for consideration is that the recovery time from each downturn is shorter than the preceeding downturn.

Your concern is valid but you do not need to worry so much over it.

Hi,

Given that scenario, you might be forced to market your unit at a very competitive price in order to capture serious buyers. Given the shortage of supply (no matter how many units HDB released), you should have no problems selling if your price is right. HDB buyers buy because they need to, so there will still be takers.
