Hi,

In Singapore, under the rules and regulation of Council of Estate Agency (CEA), A Real Estate Agent can only represent one party at any one time.

Thus if you've engage a Real Estate Agent for assistance in finding your rental place. You ought to pay for his/her service.

If the landlord had engage a Real Estate Agent to market his/her property, then landlord will pay for the service.

It is also not uncommon that there are 2 agents appear in a tenancy agreement, but each agent will be paid by their client.
