My parent are going through with a divorce but things with the legal aid are going too slow. I am just concern about the HDB flat which my sisters and I want to retain. We do not want to them to sell the HDB flat because of our financial difficulties. Because we do not have enough money to buy a resale flat. So, able for my mother to keep the HDB flat?

Evening Aurora,

Services that are free and cheap are never good and fast. That's something that you have to make do with.
As to purchase of your parent's unit, either of you have to be above 35 years old so as to purchase the unit under single scheme. Alternatively, your mother can choose to perform part purchase on the unit. This is subjected to her income status and age though.
