Asked by
My parents just attended 1st appt to sell their Hdb unit. Next week they are scheduled for 1st appt to buy another resale unit.

Their agent told them no issue. But hdb officer say CPF only will be refunded 2 weeks after completion of their selling unit and thus he suggested next week may be too soon for the first buying appt.

Question is can we proceed with the first buying appt if the funds from the selling unit are not in yet? ( they can't do contra)

Thanks in advance.

Hi, may I suggest that your parents could quickly consult the resale officer who just attended to them for the 1st appointment for the sales of your parents unit. I believe that your parents should have the name and the office contact number of that resale officer.

Hi,

In this case, they can ask for a longer completion period for their purchase. Instead of standard 8 weeks completion, ask for 9 or 10 weeks completion to be safe. Of course, with the agreement of the Seller side too.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Hi,
Your parent may proceed to the buying 1st appointment next week but request for a later date for the 2nd appointment. Generally the 2nd appointment is 6 weeks from the 1st appointment, so they can choose 8 weeks later.

To assist and advise you more in details, kindly drop me an email for me to share.

I am contactable at my mobile or email.
