My wife has been badgering me to buy a condo as she feels she needs to own property.

I have never considered buying private property and so am at a lost as to what I can expect in terms of financial burden if I want to get a condo. How much upfront money do I need to have to buy a new condo, how much loan can I get (I'm a teacher), how long is that loan, and what other financial options do I have?

Hope someone can tell me where to find some resources. Thanks.

Hi Brian,

The cash upfront depends on the value of the property you are buying. The amount of loan that you can take up depends on your combine household income.
