Nope you can’t in this case as you are already married in this case. Both you and your wife’s name would have to be included in the purchases of the HDB flat and both of you cannot go for any private property before the mop is over.

No, the son and spouse will be considered as a single entity, therefore both husband and wife name must be in the HDB purchased, either as co-owners or 1 of them being an essential occupier, meaning the private property needs to be disposed within 6 months period from acquiring the HDB.

Hi,

1) You must understand that both husband & wife's names must be included for a married couple when buying an HDB flat under the current HDB policy.
2) One of them can be the occupier or both to be the owner but both names must be submitted in the purchase application.
3) Whether wanted to include parents would be optional.
4) Thus once your spouse would have to sell the owned private residential property after the purchase of the HDB flat.
5) If you intend to apply for a BTO/SBF, you will have to wait for 30 months after your spouse sold the private residential property before eligible to submit an application.
