Sorry. My earlier question re a 'cheap' penthouse unit at The Spinnaker seems not to have been captured. So repeating it here. I would like to understand if it was an 'anomaly' to find a $880psf penthouse unit at Newton area.

Dear leech,

Are you comparing the price of a penthouse to a conventional apartment or condominium?

If so, what you need to consider is the amount of space which is considered inhabitable within the unit of the penthouse. Usually, a "discount" in price will be factored in should the unit comes with huge roof terrace or balcony.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Geryl. Do you know if there are other properties in the vicinity with similar features? I have learnt that the Penthouse unit has only 1 bedroom on the upper floor and the rest of the area is unsheltered, i.e. is a terrace. This is perfectly fine for me. I would be keen on such a property especially in the Newton/Novena area.
