There are 2agents involved in the OTP, the buyer’s and the Seller’s . But, the OTP was signed by the Seller’s son without authorisation papers because the Seller was not in town. What are the consequences if the Seller now VOID the OTP?

Hi there!

- If the OTP (Option to Purchase) was signed by the Seller’s son without authorization, it's not legally binding. The seller has the right to void it since the son wasn't authorized to act on their behalf.
- The buyer may try to dispute, but without proper authorization, the contract isn’t valid.
- It’s best to resolve this quickly by informing all parties and re-negotiating if needed, but legally, the Seller isn’t bound by the unauthorized OTP.

Thank you.

The OTP is not legal binding since it was signed by the son. You need to get the legal owner to sign the OTP. Also, these two agents are not doing their jobs correctly.. Read More
