SPR is ineligible for HDB loan therefore only bank loan can be utilised to finance the purchase. Both of you will also be required to be at least 3 years PR before you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB.
In terms of financial breakdown, assuming that both of you are eligible to take up the maximum loan of 75%, you will need to have 25% of the funds ready as downpayment, where minimum 5% will be in form of cash and remaining can be CPF and/or cash combined. Do take note that Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty of 5% is applicable on your purchase on top of normal buyer stamp duty of up to 4%. There will also be miscellaneous fees like valuation fees, legal fees, resale application fees and etc that should not add up to more than $5,000.
